Harvesting Health: Advancing Nutrition for Moms and Babies

We know that mom’s diet and other exposures during pregnancy are key predictors for long term health risks, including obesity and chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. In Texas, we have a rich and timely opportunity to lead the way in understanding maternal diet and child health: 10% of babies born in the US are born in Texas, and we have many different dietary patterns that are essential to understand the nutritional landscape.
Study recruitment for Harvesting Health will begin in 2026.
