Arin Reeder joined the Texas A&M AgriLife Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture, IHA, in 2022 as assistant director for operations. She oversees the administrative, fiscal, facilities and fleet operations from development through successful execution and advises on strategic decision-making with the rest of the IHA leadership team.
She has worked for Texas A&M University for 12 years, bringing a wide range of advanced-level administrative and project management experience. In addition to managing stakeholder relationships, Arin hires, trains and supervises IHA operational staff, providing guidance to optimize workflow and acting as a key liaison with cross-functional teams.
She served as manager of the Center for Infrastructure Renewal, CIR, a Texas A&M Engineering research center and oversaw daily operations in coordination with associated support service teams, including facilities, IT, business and communications. She developed and implemented the daily operations for the 10,000 square-foot conference wing, including the facility’s guidelines, fee structure and online venue management system. She also assisted the director in strategic planning as well as establishing short- and long-term center goals.
In 2020, Arin was recruited as project manager II for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, TEES, to develop and manage a customer service-oriented monitoring process for engineering research projects. She was responsible for developing a method to maximize spend on externally sponsored projects, with the goal of replicating that process across TEES.
Born and raised in Virginia, she earned her bachelor’s in history and anthropology from the University of Virginia in 2001 and her master’s in communication from Virginia Tech in 2006. She relocated to College Station in 2006.
