Gabrielli De Mello, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Texas A&M AgriLife Research, working on a study funded by the American Heart Association, PI: De Mello; Award #25POST1366098, where she examines barriers and facilitators in designing a digitally delivered, cluster-randomized controlled trial to promote physical activity and healthy eating among children.
De Mello’s research focuses on the design, implementation and dissemination of school- and person-centered programs that promote physical activity and healthy eating to support lifelong cardiovascular health in children and adolescents. Her work encompasses three major research areas: (1) evaluating the effectiveness and implementation of hybrid type 2 studies on physical activity, healthy eating and subsequent health outcomes; (2) adapting programs to different contexts, e.g., digital implementation; and (3) understanding how to design and develop tailored and optimized interventions for individuals and groups.
