Kelly Fisher, DCN, RD, LD, FNAP
Scientific Chief of Staff
Dr. Kelly Fisher assumed the role of Scientific Chief of Staff for the Texas A&M Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture in 2023. In this role, she will assist the IHA leadership team by providing support to advance the diverse research portfolio of the Institute.
Kelly completed her Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) degree from Rutgers University, School of Health Professions (Newark, NJ). She graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) with a BS in the Coordinated Program in Dietetics and has a MS in Nutrition from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Kelly is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian (LD).
Her previous work included serving as the director of a dietetic program that prepared students to become future RDs by completing a bachelors degree, masters degree, and required supervised practice hours in five years. She has also worked in the areas of clinical nutrition (both adult and pediatric), community nutrition in the Women, Infant and Child (WIC) Program and the Extended Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), and in the outpatient and long-term care settings.
